Well, this feels a bit surreal. My first ever post on Spicewire, the blog where I’ll be spilling all the tea (or coffee or mulled cider depending on the season) about my books, the tropes we all secretly scream about and the small town shenanigans of Solace Springs, the beautiful lakeside town where my new romance fiction series is based.
I'll soon announces the official details but basically, the Solace Springs Romance Series is officially happening. It’s the start of something new, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.
Now, let’s get one thing straight: this isn’t just any old small-town romance. This is steamy small town romance. Cosy kink at its more seasonal. Think grumpy boatbuilders, sunshine optimists, enemies to lovers stand-offs, forced proximity storms, found families, and a healthy dash of cozy kink. Basically, all the tropes we love… but with extra spice.
Of course, no author writes in a vacuum (unless you count late nights, snacks and questionable Spotify playlists as a vacuum). My inspirations? The wit of Emily Henry, the slow-burn spark of Carley Fortune, the heat of Tessa Bailey, the heartfelt charm of Katherine Center and the clever banter of Ali Hazelwood. If you’ve devoured Book Lovers, It Happened One Summer or The Love Hypothesis, then Solace Springs should feel like home.
So what can you expect here on Spicewire?
Book updates (cover reveals, sneak peeks, first chapters).
Trope talk (because we need to have it out once and for all: is grumpy x sunshine the superior trope?).
Interviews with amazing romance authors
Behind-the-scenes glimpses (the chaos of drafting, the joy of naming characters, the drama of deciding just how many 🌶️ emojis a scene deserves).
Exclusive extras (aka reasons to sign up for the Solace Springs Welcome Wagon).
Basically, if you’re here for heat, heart and happily-ever-afters, you’re in the right place.
So pull up a chair, pour yourself something delicious and welcome to Solace Springs. I’m thrilled you’re here at the very beginning.
